Live Stream from Mayoral Debate at Michael Hough Beach

 


On May 6, 2023, Torontonians had the opportunity to tune into a live-streamed debate on the future of Ontario Place, one of the city's most beloved landmarks. Hosted by Steve Mann, a world-renowned inventor, and U of T professor, the event featured several of the top candidates running for mayor in the upcoming 2023 election.


The debate was a lively and informative event, with each candidate given equal time to share their views and respond to their opponents. The candidates who participated included Anthony Furey, Cory Deville, Rob Davis, Mitzie Hunter, Celina Caesar-Chavannes, Jody Williams, Frank D'Angelo, Giorgio Mammoliti, Josh Matlow, Knia Singh, Bahira Abdulsalam, Erwin Sniedzins, Sarah Climenhaga, and Philip D'Cruze.

The discussion centered around the future of Ontario Place and how each candidate would approach its development. Topics discussed included preserving public space, balancing commercial and public interests, and enhancing the attraction's accessibility.
