Great news! CBC will be joining us tomorrow (Friday) at 11am at Peter Street Basin for a winter swim and on-camera interview with reporter Haydn Watters. If you’re up for a dip, or a few post-plunge waterballing rides, we’d love to have you there.
Huge congratulations go out to Steve and the amazing group of students whose hard work made this moment possible. After two full years of cleanup efforts, Peter Street Basin is now officially swimmable. Yesterday’s University of Toronto lab tests showed E. coli levels of just 7.0 and 10.0 per 100mL, remarkably clean and well below Toronto’s safe-swimming thresholds.
